just done the same with a set of 36 alfa webers bought from evil bay looked good from the outside but when pulled apart very ordinary inside. 🙁
carby cleaner and wd40 pressure packs and small plastic tube, all clean now. I will carby clean all orifices again and then compressed air blow out, new rebuild kit and check float level and should be ready to bolt on.😵💫

yeah make sure you wear gloves with the carby cleaner, my hands stung for days after I used it... nasty stuff

try different brands of carby cleaner - some stuff can be real volitile - and that's good!

pull them apart and get them acid dipped (from your local carby place)

cloth, old tooth brush and for the tight bits use cotton wool stick things (making sure you pull the cotton wool out with the stick when done)
