Hi I have a 69 beetle and I need to know if they are classed as a type 1, 2 or 3.
I also need to know if anyone can recommend a internet site where I can look at some beetle parts like mirrors.

Typr 1....Look at www.classicveedub.com.au they sell lots of stuff for VW's, or you can look in the classified section here.

Type 1, post 68..

Type 2 is a kombi.

Type 3 is notchbacks, fastbacks and squarebacks.

Post 68? i thought all Beetles were type 1.

I think he meant the description for her car amongst the vw groups is ...type 1, post 68 model

especially if looking at purchasing parts.

Katie,
most of the places in teh sponsors section will do mail order but you can also walk in and ask. They generally wander out to the car park and take a look at your car and let you know what is the right on if you have any doubts.
