Help Loud banging noise in kombi??

No loud banging noise when at idle or when you rev engine.
Can't hear in first gear or second but in third and forth there is a loud banging noise when under power.
no noise when coasting only under power.
It is a clunking noise and you can feel it through the floor.
It increases as you speed up 😢
can someone shed some light on this please?

CV joints could be shot

They are worn but I repacked them not long ago and when I jack the car up and spin the wheels I don't get a clunking sound. How else do you tell?

if not cv's mayb damaged g/ box

i was having same sorta noise, but was more of a tapping/ clunking noise but couldnt feel it. ended up being a bolt under the chassis.

Went out to the meet today and a mechanic drove it around at first thought cv's but no noise when turning and none got hot, decided it has to be gearbox🙁 could be in diff part ?? What a racket !!

Pinion came loose and tore half the teeth off the crown wheel 😢 That is gona hurt the pocket.
All that metal in the bottom of the box .😠

Maybe put in another box instead of fixing that one.

I would go for another gearbox...

Fixing something like that...
where metal has gone thru everything.... Yikes..
