Euro_67 ·

Could make a nice addition to our '70 auto beetle. A bit more torque perhaps.

empi ·

Shorrok (spelling?!?) made superchargers for Vws too , never seen this type before, cant help but think its missing some parts.

where does the oil come and go?

Doug Sweetman ·

It looks suprisingly like an air pump, ie emissions control gear from the late 70's early 80's. I could be wrong though, it certainly looks like a roots type blower (although honestly, a supercharger is just a large air pump).

SPRINTSTAR ·

Definitely not a Shorrock,Mag or a Judson.

blkovl ·

its an air pump. its too small and if you mounted it on the manifold the pulley would face the wrong way. if you mount it the other way the carby would face the wrong way.

Volkswagenboy ·

Oil would be internal.

empi ·

Yeah carby would be the wrong way ... like to see the engine lid fit as well, prob off an industrial motor

Joel ·

yea and some idiot will be stupid enought to buy it
like those wolf/vw bonnet emblem badge things a few days ago

the old judson superchargers had an oil bottle hanging on the firewall and im pretty sure they mixed oil in with the fuel
which was where shorrocks where better they used an oil line from the oil pressure switch from memory

Hmm... So they're not like 4/71 Weiands?!?!?!
That's all I'm used to!
