engine id help

hi all,
i have just purchased a kombi, its 75 model and the guy has told me it had a engine change, i am trying to identify the motor so that i can tune it up etc, if anyone can help that would be great, the engine number starts with AP if that helps and it has twin carbs woohoo. thnks

AP prefix denotes 1800 type 4.....CA 1700....CJ/GD/CV 2000cc hope this helps cheers steve

Check the engine # on the case down behind the fan shrouding near the dissy, because it maybe different to the one on the shroud.
