I'd guess it would be fine if you stay on sealed roads. Off road you'd better lift it up 2 storeys....

Hey there, I drove around a good part of tassie in a lowered splitta, but I did stay on sealed roads. But it was OK, even with standard slightly-worn-out seats. Then again, I am still young. Look out for the cattle grids though, I lost a freakin' hubcap! :o
I'd take a nice stock Bay any day for a long trip. Splittys are way cool, but there was a reason that no-one wanted them once upon a time (no splitty snobbery on my part!). Travelling in Bay-style is wicked fun, except if you have a busted seat that just doesn't support your back at all. Just means you stop and take some time to smell the roses. Or go for a swim.
Cheers, A.

i did it in this so i can't realy talk but i do own 2 lowered busses and i don't think it would be too much of a problem.
and you could always raise the adjusters up a bit if needed.

😀 you gotta love the ride of a fat lady !

modern seats I recon are what modern cars where made for, although my standard drivers seat in the bay is pretty good. The passengers side is knackered mine. well uncomfortable

I've done Brisbane to Sydney twice and Brisbane to Coffs Harbour a few times in my lowered Bay ute. The ride is an acquired taste. OZ sealed roads can at times be no better than a series of Pot holes (discovered that out the back of the Tweed last week), so a lowered ride will always be a challenge. The best thing is that you can never go to sleep at the wheel - your head keeps hitting the roof too often!
