I've been told that Next weeks Happy Meal Toy at MacDonalds is a Kombi...

So, I reckon, all Us AussieVeeDubbers will be buying Happy meals Next Week.....

hmmm, i wonder if you can buy the happy meal for the kombi less the food.. id be in that..
as you can tell im not a fan of the golden arch's after watchin the super size me flick.. oh the sugar..
but each to their own..

They usually charge $2 for a toy without a happy meal 🙂 at least they used to a couple of years ago...might have gone up by now.

hmmm.

Sounds inviting, but still a little turned off from maccas when an asian lady behind the counter got up me for asking if she would beat Hungry Jack's price on a 30c Soft Serve. 🥲

Yes they still only charge $2 just for toy as I did this the other month. This is good as I have a macas where I work yipee.

I have nothing to do with McDonalds, but they never ask to Size Up... Its not their policy..
but KFC Always do.... and Burger King always did

plus Maccas have many low fat/sugar etc meals these days...

they now sell a lot more than just Hamburgers...:thumb

[but I'd eat a happy meal just to get a Kombi] lol:P:P

I liked Hungry Jacks burgers until I saw a magazine article with the fat content... more than double Maccas....:o

lee ur right...hungry jacks has more fat etc because of their sauces in the burgers...

I never thought it true...until i read some of the phamlets they put out...(I always knew reading was bad for me...now i dont eat hungrys)

And yes, after being sued left right and center, maccas decided to put fresh food out so they can no longer be blamed for a persons poor choice.....so now u can buy nice tastier food, and purchase the toy as well...

I now just have to hide them from my son aj...:P

chris, I would loan her to you as I know she is safe, you dont even go for hot chicks with a pair of hot brattwurst croissants in foreign accents!

I just went to my local McD's, not on sale yet. 'Later' this week. Looks like we might be doing the mcdonalds dinner every night this week. Wonder if US mcdonalds has them. Maybe we could make a fortune and assist the balance of trade figures as well.

The other cars that came out last friday are almost twice the size of a matchbox car. So I'm guessing Filmore will be around the same. Usually the maccas near us put out their new toys on a thursday or friday.
Sometimes, it pays to go to one that is not in a busy spot too, as they don't run out as soon as others.

Just on the "goodness" of the McDonalds food, I have been told buy a health inspector that in a survey 98% said they would prefer no Gerkin on their burger.BUT if said greenery is removed the burger would then have so much total sugar content that they would be deemed CONFECTIONARY!

A friend of a friend who works for a major bread maker said they class the buns as confectionary because there is so much sugar in them. But I cant see how it could be true, why would you worry about putting sugar in a bun? Not like bread is sour.

I'm pretty sure thats an urban myth. I've heard it so many times it just has to be.

I love mcdonalds, not for its nutritional qualities, but for the service and cleanliness. Comparing the average McD's to any KFC, Burger King, Hungry Jacks, its just chalk and cheese. I refuse to eat at the burger king near me. Its so filthy its scary.

And their toys are heaps better.

Speaking of hungry jacks, u eva tried that new double beef and bacon or wateva burger with the mushroom sauce!! F-N FILTHY!!

was like as though they got a scoop of dead cat and put it between 2 buns.

the mushroom sauce was like jelly, and felt disgusting. i didn't see any mushrooms in there either :o

However, thumbs up for the 30c cones, they give more icecream and taste creamier than maccas (sure that means its worse for ya though), but the unlimited free drink refills is kool too, especially when u share a cup with a good mate. (without killing each other in sharing illnesses)

And the toys are pretty kool as well

HEY, did i EVER say i went just for the kids...i think not.....

Its my playground too. I take the kids so I can play, cause u know, you can't play if ur over 12, but little kids...they HAVE to be supervised by an adult. Move over Aj...mummys turn down the slide.

SO I was told by a lady here at work who fusses over my desktop pic.

At the moment its the red car and the blue car. The maccas girl has no idea what kombi or filmore is. I had to say 'green van'

I went to nearby McDonalds today.
Yes the CARS happy meals are out now.
They have a choice this week of the red one (Lightning McQueen) or the blue one (Doc Hudson)
Saw all the characters on the shelf.. they all are slightly bigger than the matchbox ones..........DAM no filmore this week....try next week

Also if anyone is chasing a matchbox filmore & still can't find one, I have a few spares you can buy off me :thumb

yeah i also went again today and the store mgr said that between the 20-23 june they will be out for the purchasing..😬

Yes, I agree....
You would think they would try & copy McDonalds with the cleanliness.... but they don't....
and I have found the Burger King I used to visit in Sydney was filthy..... and the Maitland one too...
tables and the floor...

McDonalds use a different coloured cloths to wipe seats and tables separately.... the others don't...
some never seem to wipe the tables etc at all...
and You count the chips on the floor while You are waiting to be served....:o:o:o

On myfirst visit to local burger king, someone swept the floor. Swept all the crap into a pile in the middle. The tables and seats were just filthy though. Absolute filth. While eating we watched the pile of dirt and dropped food get spread around again with people kicking it as they walked in.

I kind of figured that maybe it was because it had only just opened.

But on my second visit, the place was still filthy and the cleaning cloth and bottle of spray was left on top of the bin. That was its storage place!

I have never been back for a third visit.

you can swap your non Filmore happy meal toys for Filmore when they have them.
Just keep your toys in the unopened wrapper. 🙂

I even tried to offer more money for one if I could have it last night but unfortunately macca's manager would not be in it....... geezzzz where has the fun gone

Just asked the wife who was at McDanalds on Thursday getting the kids the toys and she asked when the kombi would be released, they told her the 23rd June.

I asked someone who works in the meat department (head office) at a major supermarket company, what happens with all the left overs of the animal kill that you can't sell?
They reply "all the tongue and other products you wouldn't even think about eating are sent to Hungry Jacks for their meat patties".
Don't ask because I won't say who or which company he works for but i've got no reason not to believe him.
If it's anything like a meat pie you only need to have a small % of meat in the thing to classify it as a meat product.

I can tell you I won't ever be eating at Hungry Jacks ever again. The slogan just makes me sick when I hear it now...
