WTD: cheap laptop.

hey.

anyone have an older laptop sitting around?

prefer something i can run XP on but can settle for 98.

needs to have a modem.

im doing the ebay thing but thought id ask here.

In Bris. I trade in a lot of second hand (guaranteed) computer parts. Couple hundred will get you decent XP capable laptop.

Example IBM P2 266 128Ram, 14 inch LCD screen, cdrom, floppy, 2x USB 1.1, PCMCIA 10/100 network and 56K modem card just sold at $75 *(battery dead - Brand new IBM replacemant @ $150 but works fine off 240V).

Finally got a decent one. P3 1.0 256 RAM running XP. Needs battery re-pack but total should be under $250.
