yeah, probably not the best time to be surfing, i was out at Pt Leo on Sunday and got a brain freeze every time my head went under water, my father who only had a 2x3 steamer on was shivvering all night long afterwards.

brrr sounds a bit frightfully cold then..
i was out surfin yesterday morning for about 3-4hours at currumbin in my spring suit as i thought the steamer would be too hot for the 21 deg c water temp.. 馃榾
but hey im still mad enough to go out if the waves play the game.. havent had an icecream headache for such a while..
if not it'll be good to drive down the G O rd again..
plenty of stuff to look at anyways..
i was down exactly the same time last year and the surf n water temp were great fpr about an hour anyway.. heres hopin..

Actually I had ice on the window here in God's forsaken land of Warilla last week. First time my daughter had seen such a thing. She thought it was hilarious.

well yeah as the good melb folks said 'its bloody cold down here' i can say sure it certainly is..
went for a surf a torquay in front of the surf club yesterday it was great solid 6ft but only lasted 1 and a half hours out as my toes went a nice shade of blue that matched my eyes.. sorta cant walk properly afterwards on the beach either.. :P
anyway thanks for putting the sunshine on today locals
off to do more touristy stuff today.. 馃檪

lucky buggar, i never seem to get down there when the surf's good. you should have picked up a wetty back up home before you came down, i got a band new ultimate sealed seam 4x3 for $200 when i was near Brissy cos no-one needed them up there! down here their almost a necessity this time of year :o 馃榾

yep my dog is being petsat by a great little company called Paws pet sitters 馃榿
n dont worry i brought down my 3x2 steamer, i was ok in it but iof the water was any colder, well brrrr..
i also donned the gloves and after the surf aquired some 3mm booties.. all set for next time now.. 馃お
