Just about to take delivery(next week) of a new Golf GTI, I'm wondering if anyone has a bigger stretch between their first and latest VW.
I bought my first car (a '64 1200 custom) in 1967.
So, by my reckoning that's 30 years between them.
That 1200 sure put up with some abuse at the hands of a broke young student. No prizes for guessing, it just kept coming back for more.
Hope the GTI has inherited of my first beetle's genes.

Best news is I can take delivery of the GTI on Monday.
It'll be a long weekend.

Have to make the best of the Forester XT in the next two days.
