If it had gone to extra time ..... i reckon we had the stamina. They were down to 10 men.
The penalty..... yeah ripped, but NEVER do a slide tackle in the box when in doubt.
Personally - i dont reckon it was the tackle, but they lay back after.
But why didnt they bring Jesus on?? Or Allosies(sp - what ever - too tired) should have come on earlier
But the end was quick. Sort of being shot at dawn.
better than being 1-0 in the first 10 secs and chasing all game and not getting there.
We saw a glimpse - just snuffed on in the last seconds. Literally.

The red card was pretty harsh. Yes, it was a double footed studs up challenge and I've looked at the replay again - ah bugger it - he deserved it. What calabre referee gives a dubious penalty in the last 10 secs when extra time is inevitable? Surely the match at least deserved that?
Anyway - it's all over now. They've done a great job and Australian Football is well and truly on the world stage (it's a clicheathon). Bring on Kuwait in August.

All those people who jumped on the bandwagon can now get off and go back to their old lives.
Even my mother stayed up to watch the games, last time she watched soccer I was playing in the under
10's! Jeezus even the NRL/ARL footy shows tried to climb on board!!!!! I wonder if the 'wog' hating
cronulla rioters followed it as well.
Guus (not Australian) was becoming a legend on all sports reports. The same guy that would have been
linched had 'we' not came back and won whatever game it was where schwarzer didnt play.
I suppose it was indeed a great achievment, but I'd just like to get the inevitable multi million dollar
tickertape parades over and done with and get back to normal.

Man what a game. I have thoroughly enjoyed the World Cup, but to go out like that, one can't help but feel robbed and gutted.
I think I would PREFER being 1-0 after 2 minutes and then chasing. Least then you have time to deal with it!!

Will be an England Germany final ... no better prospect to the English than beating the Germans in their own backyard. But watch out Poland if the Germans win, they'll be back over the boarder in a heartbeat. Lol...as if its just about the game....be nice (if optamistic) if the Frogs and the Argie Bargie get a good trouncing on the way through too.
