You are right, they don't fit.....will need to add or subtract.
Drives you insane, you wonder how they can keep selling it but we keep buying it as they are fair price.
I'm fairly sure they are brazilian origin thus the problem.
I would pay lots more if there was one made of good steel and fitted perfect.
Ask on DSK others may know more.

This is sometimes a dilema when restoring a car. You have to either use the replacement panels avaiable, or make them yourself. You then may need to ascertain the time it would take to make one yourself as opposed to reshaping something you buy that resembles what you are after.

They're as crooked as a dog's hind leg

I buy the brazilian repro doglegs from Hardings......

They take a LOT of fitting, but easier once you've done a couple and know the tricks and certainly better than trying to make from scratch!

They are often advertised as 'correct' for 64-67 because they have the 'narrow' lip from those years. However, they are made in 3 pieces like original barndoor doglegs (but without the early 'wide' lip) so they are not technically correct for 64-67 either.

Not that I personally care, just comments for the purists. Fairly easy to modify the lip to make wider and 'correct' for the earlier years, can't do much about the 3 piece construction for post barndoor busses though...

Clear as mud eh ??????????????????????

Will someone please explain to me what a Schofield dogleg is and where it is to be found on a car.

The dog leg is the part that forms the bottom of the door frame on a kombi, so called because of the double bend in it.

Schofield is the name of a well known supplier of replacement panels and parts for kombis, based in the UK.
