Beerboy ·

We are thinking of going camping this weekend, anyone know of any good spots. Need to be able to light a fire and drive on thats about all really. Somewhere to fish might be good too.

Now wheres my thermals...

Nords Warf Scout camp

Up near Swansea - the scouts have opened it up to the public.

Opposite is Lake Munmorah Recreational reserve - but you get a lot of yahoos there

and if going west

http://www.turongates.com/

also brilliant

You go to Lithgow - then head up to Mudgee 40kms. Then head bush at the sign for 15kms

Turon Gates and Wollondilly are places to take dogs camping as well

You will need more than thermals at the last 2 places

thanks mate, yeah dont want anywhere colder sydney is cold enough at the moment. think I am turning native ;-)

Turon and Wollondilly you can have fires...... BIG fires.

So many places have banned fires these days.

I actually take a large gas heater since i got caught out at Kangaroo Valley on the June long week end once.

Wollondilly is great. There is a free cave you can tour through as well
