By accident whille jacking up my buggy, I discover the balance point is about 770mm in front of the back axle. With a wheelbase of 2430, I did some maths and came up with a weight distribution of 30/70 (fr/rr), in other words...CRAP. No surprise though.
Does anyone know what it is for a standard car? Also, whats the optimum weight distribution for a rear engined car?
I know I'm behind the 8 ball to start with, but it would be good to have something to aim at as I want to try ans shift some weight forward to make the car handle better.

well I weigh 94kg so that's close enough. But I wondered what the standard beetle figures were, or even the figures for a 70s 911 would be good to know.

Hi
The jacking point on a stock bug is around the middle of the fore & aft weight, as both wheels come off the ground when you jack the car there.
