Reverse Light in Splitty

I'd liek to install a reverse light on the splitty. What is the best way of installing a switch to automaticallyt detect when reverse is selected?

Any body done this before?

Depending on the type of gear box you have you maybe able to install a switch near the nose cone.
If you have the old standard box you can attach a switch to the back of the speedo.
I might be able to help you out.
