hi all , a club member and i picked up this kombi today and we are some infomation about it.We are after it's year and if the stuff in the back makes it special or do we pull it out and use it for morning sticks. Do you think it is a good buy to restore or do we part it.The motor is long gone but the rest all seems to be there. We found the rear bumper and the rear valiance inside it also. The camper bit has a tag in one of the cupboards as to who made it. Any info would be apresiated thank you.

That is great score but to get proper id of year you need to look on the drivers side the same as where you got theses numbers I think.

its a split. The only answer is restore, it will be worth more restored than parted if money is the part in question
LUFTMEISTER ·
looks like a '67. would be worth a lot more retsored than parted. not many Aussie camper coversion around and the interior looks very "period" coachwork badge will add to value. good luck with it. 😵💫

nice one, interior looks great for its age, probably 67ish, would be good to see an aussie split camper on the road

G'day Gary, is that pip's ute in the background. Where did she come from, nice find. If you don't restore it, go and see Pete and he will find a sale for you or sell it on here. cheers, Greg. PS see you next weekend in Devonport.

No Greg it wasn't pips ute. I have known about this one for about two years. it was not far from my moms place actually. I was hoping to pick it up when i got some finances but someone else found it so i missed out .I think it will be restored but as a long term project.
yep i will see ya at the AGM next Sat for sure .

The fit-out looks a bit like mine. Similar layout.

I reckon it's got to be the same conversion. Kill for the makers tag.

book?...the Samba.com, SSVC in the UK, DSK mate....more info that you can ever get in a book...Keith Sume's Custom Bus is not bad, but a bit dated now...maybe Grand Moff Muller knows of them...hes the local bus-historian....fantastic find...a local camper...oh how the pommies would love that, an Aussie Camper...

Nice one brad,
Looks to definately be a 67. Only year with twin sets of rear vents and from memory, the only one with a pressurised squirter bottle under the dash. Same interior as this one?
65busser ·
Hey Matt, Is that the same converters sticker/plate that was on yours?
btw...what are you doing here?
58camper ·
This is one of the later Aussie built conversions. It is almost identical to my '58 Camper except the early camper had a fire box with storage under for pots and pans as shown in the sales brochure. It appears later models had the fire box converted to a sink.
All campers should have had a water tank at the rear immediately behind the ice refrigerator but they are few and far between.
