Goose.....
i mean, too good for a daily driver.
I reckon a car like that deserves a special place some where in a VW history show room
The more i look at it the more i go weak at the knees :sandrine
Any idea if he ended up with the Orkrasa motor and the steering wheel???

very sweet whats the history on this beasty?
Bizarre ·
A freind of mine had it in his shed and was working on it forever.
Anyway - he got to old and it had to be sold off.
It was in a 40 ft shed in the Sth Highlands and there was ALL SORTS of stuff.
The family just wanted it gone.
they came with a Orkrasa stroker with dual Zeniths and the Petri(?) Porsche steering wheel.
I can email you a 7meg pdf on all sorts of scrap book stuff if you like.
Really is worth the read.
If youa ghia-phile you will either love - detest this thing

It looks like what an englishman would have came up with had they been asked to design a ghia. Can you send me the file please? An english ghia, what a horrible thought. A car that not only rusts from every orifice but is totally unreliable as well.

I wouldnt mind seeing that file too. I have been a fan of the Ascort for a while now.
VWCOOL ·
yeah me too - been watching this go together for a while!
Bizarre ·
Can youse all u2u me your emails and i will respond
Chris - this is a fibre glass version so irt wont rust.
And Dave -he didnt die - poor fellow had to go into a home, and yes, the family wanted some cash AND the stuff GONE!!
Grey 57 ·
Cheers Bizare recieved the email files. Excellent info thanks. I think that an Ascort has gone on to the future wish list. Any one know of any about??
These have better lines than the Proctor I think.
