I have lifted a body (inc doors, bonnet, decklid etc) with two people for a very short distance.....but there is a hell of a lot of weight in the pan. Maybe 6 people but to be honest not sure as it could be too awkward to lift with all that weight??

reckon 4 people could do it?

i had 4 people (family) lift a bug body, but with pan, 4 avg, tradesman should be strong enough, 6 to be a good number for safety, but with doors and panels, it can make it a little heavier.

I'm guessing it has the beam, box, doors etc?
I'd say 6 people.

You'd be surprised how many people will turn up if you offer a few beers after. Don't forget about getting it off to.

it depends if they have got weak girl arms or big manly arms:P:P

Depends if it really "wants" to be lifted I suppose, Seriously though, If your down on human power you might try lifting one end only & throwing a few koppers logs under then rolling the car along them. Worked for the pyramids!

So a beetle weighs around 800kg........you then remove the engine which is approx 85kg and wheels approx 50kg, leaving you with the remaining weight of 665kg. So with 4 people, each would be lifting approx 166kg by themselves from ground level to the height of the trailer...........................or putting it simply they would be lifting the equivalent of 2 VW engines at the same time by themselves:alien....................I don't think so.
