Valla Thankyou

Just north of Valla on the way home to Qld on Sunday my Kombi decided to throw a wheel. Front left came off bounced along the road decided to smack a commodore coming in the other direction, I missed all the action as I struggled to bring her to a stop on the side of the road. So thank you to the guys I was travelling with for helping and to the couple in another Kombi (I think from Club VW in Brisbane, the ones with all the chips. Sorry i'm terrible with names) who stopped, jacked the Kombi up and put on my spare while I was changing details with the commodore driver.

A word of warning when you get any work done on your car as I did the week before Valla, check the wheel nuts as the outcome could have been a lot worse than some damage to the Kombi and the Commodore.

Geez, the nuts must have been super loose. Its good that everyone was ok and that no other Vw's were injured (only a crappy commodore):P

Sorry to hear about the drama - I'm just glad it didn't hit a motorbike rider! I know I'd have $hit myself riding along and a wheel comes flying at you at ?km/hr...scary!
