As some of you may know I drive a very daggy, Herbified 73 Beetle. Every day someone shouts, "Hey! Herbie." and about once a week someone takes his photo as they drive past. I have never driven such a cool car, it's even more attractive to people of all ages, than my dune buggy was.
Yesterday I dropped in to the local Subway and while the young girl was making my lunch. she asked me what sauce I wanted. I said, "What do you have?" She said, "This is mayonaise, this is sweet chili, that one's cheesy and this one's herbie." I said, "Did you say herbie?" and indicated my car which was parked outside the window. She cracked up and we both laughed out loud. I said, "I have no choice, do I?" We had a silly little giggling session while she finished.
Sometimes a routine activity can be transformed into a very enjoyable experience.
