Can anyone tell me what the main difference between a 60 square back and early models - other than the IRS discs etc. I am specifically trying to find out if the seal on the rear door/hatch is the same

Do you mean 70 squareback? I think the seal is the same section on early and late. Anyone else on this one?

Everything is different. wheels, irs, balljoint, disks, seats, dash, electrics, panels, door hardware, seats. seals for tailgate is pretty genetic other than the corners. If it is slightly smaller, I reckon you would be able to cut with a stanley knife and super glue it together.
With the amount of WCM catalogues that went from VVW's display on the weekend, somebody should be able to tell you if they are the same part number.

Thanks Guys - it's a 68/69 short nose. i figured the seal would be the same but thought I should check

Ah - took your advice and looked in my old WCM catalogue - the seal is the same

same w/notch-boot/bonnet seals are same on late and early.
