What is the light at the bottom left corner of the dash, I think with "B" on it. Can anyone tell me what the correct wire configuration is on the back cause I have a blue and black hanging off and they seem to be for that light?
Also, the temp control levers, I have one green and one red but I notice a spare behind next to the other red. Does this mean I need another lever for dual control for the heat?
My Kombi is a 73 dual cab if that makes any difference.
Thanks, Andrew

i dont know if its the same for kombis but late bugs had a B warning light that comes on with the hand brake and also if theres a brake fluid pressure loss
i'd say kombis had the same thing

should have one blue/green lever. This is for fresh air vent on front of your bus. Up is to close the vent, down it to open.
Should also have two red levers. Left i think controls the heater flaps in the rear, ie heat on/heat off. Its also got a switch for teh rear booster inbuilt. The right hand one is for switching between feet and demisters i think... im not too sure on that tho, my wire has snapped off that.

in the dash my 76 has on the left a red battery charging light and oil pressure light on the right (in the circle with the fuel gauge eh)...
i have never heard of kombis' havin a handbrake light, and given that mine is a younger age than your 73 and doesnt have a 'handbrake light', i'd say its a sure sign that yours doesnt either eh
good luck mate

is it the same as the one next the heater lever in this pic?
if so then yeah its just the brake system warning light

Yeah its the same. OK so I now know what it is, does anyone have that light still functional and if so what is the wiring configuration on the terminals.
After stuffing around with the dash the wires have come off. It wasnt working before but atleast I have a better chance of getting it to work with the wires on correct.

Definitley functional in our bus.
Should come on with ignition and go off once engine starts. The only time it should come on when the engine is running is if the brake master cylinder has a bias pressure fault.

Thanks Peter, do you mind having a look when you have a chance of the wire set up as I have a blue and black wire which seem to be from that switch floating around. So what wire goes to what terminal?

Just had a look and clockwise looking from the back starting at about 2 O'clock. Brown, Black, Blue, Red
So looking like this
Red Brown
Blue Black
Hope that helps.

just had alook in the bugs owners manual
and it says it should also work with handbrake on

Not on the bus it doesn't, unless a handbrake switch was fitted. I believe that may have only been on the German made busses, not the Australian built ones.
