I've had a few problems for as long as I can remember and I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem.
no.1
My steering wheel's centre position changes all the time.
In other words, something happens when car hits a bump or I turn tightly to move the steering centre point.
This only happens when the car is under increased loading whils't cornering.
Has anyone had the same problem? I've been to 3 different vw servicing shops and no one has fixed it.
no.2
My rear CV joints or something else in the back of the car make clunking noises when my car goes over any bumps or undulations in the road. My rear wheels also have a lot of play within either the CV's or diff.
By that I mean that if the car is jacked up and in gear, one wheel will almost fully revolve before the other one is even engaged.
Can anyone help me?

the steering is possible the bolt holding the steering rod to the output shaft on the steering box its suspost to have a lock washer on it and will cause yr wheel to moove when going round a corner
The rear end is possible your trailing arms rubber bushes they need replacing
or the rear engine support check and see if its cracked around the body work on eitehr side of the engine bay and that the 3 attach bolts are tight

With that much movement I would be looking at your diff.CV's will not give that amount of play.

When you see Trent he may part with the gearbox out of the one he has. Not sure what it was like but may be useable.
