a friend has asked me for photos of beetles with "moon discs and raised engine hoods" does anyone have any? not neccessarily one the same beetle...but either of them

I have a raised engine lid..
Its only open about 75mm...
Some people open them up to 100mm...
this helps keep the engine cool...
really makes a difference....
keeps everything in the engine bay cool...
No water comes in at Highway speeds...
Doesn't rain Here very often anyway...

Heres mine.
Only hassle I had was that when the standoffs were installed the bottom of the decklid hit the bumper bar.
