1&3 Firing - 2&4 Not! Left side gets hot and right stays cold.

Suggestions anyone - what do I look at first?

I pulled the plugs - yep no spark. Leads are fine. What should I be looking for at the dizzy and how do I check it?

Prob the cap is tracking inside.
Also 1&2 is on the right side and 3&4 is the left side.
Even with a sad cap, you should be able to get some sparks...have a look with the lights out, but keep your fingers clear.

you HAVE double checked 1 -3 - 4 - 2 in anti clock wise order

Just check again please

Ok - good. In that case it could be my ordering then. I did double check but I'm happy to do it again. I've been guilty of stuffing up easier things.

It's dark out now but 10 to 9 on a Sunday night is not a good time to run the Baja's straight thru's. Even at idle. Will have a go tomorrow evening as it get darker.

Thanks guys I will try your suggestions.

Wrong order Baz. Firing order is 1-4-3-2 in a clockwise direction (looking down at the top of the cap). It would then be 1-2-3-4 if it was in an anti clockwise direction (looking down at the top of the cap). I assume you know where 1 is on the cap?

have had this problem. with dual carbs i thought one of the carbs was blocked and not getting fuel. and i had the rockers on one side come off and therefore had no compression.
goodluck
