got up early (for me) at 5.45 to go for a surf at snapper on the goldie..
packed the bus with boards, wettie and beach stuff..
made a coffee for the trip..
jumped in, turned the key and ________ ????
nothin.. dead.. caputski.. :o
tried for an hour to jump start, changed the battery with one lying around but wouldn't fit in..
finally gave up had another coffee and waited until the battery shop opened at 8..
lucky for me he had one on the shelf.. not too common apparently..
oh yeah the lovely price of $145 for the friggin thing only made me more determined to go for that surf..
so by 10 i was in the water (washing machine like conditions)
catchin some great rides at greenmount.. the sweep was killer..
in for one wave at snapper end up at greenmount in front of the coolie pub..

what a way to spend ya day off.. havin a beer now so alls good.. :thumb

be thankfull atleast it happend at home
for me its usually a dropped cell at the most inconvenient time and place
first give away is the central locking and alarm going spastic when i try to get in
how i love todays modern batteries with there wounderfull life spans....yeah right
the century battery in my first bug lasted 8 years that was back in 1995
they dont make them to last anymore

at least you managed to get a wave you lucky buggar, its nuts packed everytime i get to go and surf up there. snapper is the greatest, i have a 5'10" flat bottomed single that was just made for that break. do you surf snapper and Dbar and that area much? you might know my aunt, she has an orange bug and surfs around there regularly (lives in Tweed Heads)
