i have bought 2 73 beetles to make 1 good one for our
daughter amanda but apon an inspection today by a friend
it would need a lot of money for what i want her to have
so why not go all out.
should be on the road by xmas

hi deon yeh got a collection going hey, when dylan gets his p's should be good.
the first thing we will do is go for a family drive led by the 74 cabrio then the 62
panel then the 64 11 window then i will bring up the rear in the british racing green
11 window (well known to many in the vw scene)soon to be mine.
will have my own private convoy in my family.

the cab is now waiting on parts that was supposed to be on it by now & registered
alas the things we can not control we can not control.
on the rotisserie full of rustproofing & being rotated so the rustproofing fills all nooks & crannies
like janns split steve pumps in an over abundance of rustproofing, mate buckets of the stuff

yes bugeyebabe very happy, mandy is on her learners & this will be her ride for a
few years to come till she saves enough for a (of all things) daulcab, why i dont
know but amanda wants a daulcab (or ghia).
i wont talk her out of it more like support in which ever way we can but at least this
will get a lot of road time on it, just dont believe in having a nice ride just sitting in
the garage thats just not me

steve brought it out today on the maiden run see how it handles & stuff like that
now he will sort out any little gremlins then next week blue slip pink slip whatever
then in our garage

Thanks for sharing these pics mate...if you are going to do a project of that magnitude, may as well do it right...Good VW karma to you...No offence but was the WCM stuff jaw droppingly expensive, with exchange rate/ postage....you can u2u me if you like as I'm looking to get complete rubbers for our '64 square and pop outs for '61 beetle. Thanks again for the experience. 🙂

kombination all up it was $2400 door to door which was for the rooflining including the
padding & cover, all the rubbers that go on the cab, door rubbers, stop rubbers, every rubber that is on the cab, the bumper ends, the rear view mirrors, all the door & inside panels, all the seat covers front & back & nearly forgot the tail lights as you can see in the latest pics.
