gearbox overhaul - recommendations

I have a 1500 type 1 swing axel box that I would like to get reconditioned.

Looking for a quality job, any recommendations?

Doesn't have to be local, just somebody well experienced in the dark art of setting up a dub box & diff.

Also, what sort of $$$$ would I be looking at?

Leon's Motors in Salsbury(brisbane) did the 1500 tranny in a bug I bought.
It cost the owner $1100 for the tranny rebuild, with all new bearings,
synchros and seals.
The engagement teeth on the gears and sliders were all back cut too.
Most tranny guys will only do what the customer asks because,
to do it properly, IS expensive.
