Brazillian type 2 doors - a bit different ?

Saw these Bay window type 2 doors for sale in the UK..

note the extra ribbing down near the bottom of the door

I wonder why this was a good idea in Brazil?

Naturally, if you needed one of these...
You would need to buy two....
or one and a hammer?? :P:P:P

probably because the steel was so thin it needed something to keep it from imploding when the door was slammed.
