to keep the buggy feeling alive, cop this manx ute i saw while camping at inskip its got a type2 with sharpbuilt upright, homemade but pretty good cannons and about 2" of body lift. aparently it was ina crash that broke its back end but someone we all know actuLLY has said backend.
also saw this. he was back from a few days on the island. its first run. orig body and chassis rails. 308 for power.
i ended up doing 1000km at inskip and covering everything that looked like a track in a week and then then more than that on fraser. woo hoo but a word of warning, if ever going to fraser on a bike... treat every tight sandy corner as your last.... because it may be...

here's some more pics from my recent rainbow and fraser fanging.
sure they are not vw but all you gotta do is envisage my ugly buggy instead of the xr and the effect is the same. ie; just as if i had my buggy, i was the odd one out - met no other bikes on the is;land and only the one or two at rainbow/DI point/cooloola.
