Due to technical difficulties out my control (that's a laugh) buggyadventures.com.au has now come to an end, as all good things must. I would like to thank all the buggy nuts who supported the site and got the most out of it.
Without doubt it will be missed but I have lost all files, including any that were backed-up. So to start again, would be to start fresh, and I doubt anyone would want that.
I am aware of the person who hacked into the site and they will be delete with in due time...
Again thanks everyone, good and bad.

It's a pity, but I have been thinking. Do we really need it?
We have the offroad section on AVD, do we really need a whole other forum?
I'm not saying I'm against the idea, just interested in peoples thoughts.
What did BuggyAdventures offer that AVD doesn't? There was allot of people posting on both forums and the same topic/photos etc were often posted on both forums.
If the Australian Buggy scene really needs a forum then I'm sure we can make it happen.

Buggy Adventures had a whole other "feel" about it. i rarely post on this site, but was quite active on the other.
I also know people who were members of buggy adventures but dont want to join AussieVeeDubbers,

I reckon it's always good to have an alternative, it was a great site and I'm sorry to see it go. I'd be extremely happy to see another one up and going, good on anyone who is willing to give it a go. Also why not name the person who hacked it? If they thought it was clever to do it they should also wear the consequences of their actions.

Before we start asking for the name of the hacker, please remember this.
The laws of libel and slander in Australia protect the guilty.
Even with all of the irrefutable evidence possible, they could still win a defamation of character suit.
Let those who know who it was deal with it privately.
It is a shame that the site is down. I enjoyed it and found it to be a useful alternative to AVD. I hope it gets back up again. I can't help. Ask Moose. I'm a complete nincompoop on a computer.

That is a real shame. That was such a great site, no agro just a group of people who really enjoy Off Road VW's.
