Can anyone tell me where to get my super beetle steering wheel restored? Prefer in Brisbane area if possible.
Thanks

how about in your shed/lounge/dining room? i think there was an article in a US magazine in the mid to late 90's... or was it on the net?
i have yet to do it myself (i've had a go at woodrim wheels... not stock ones though), but from what i have read and heard from poeple who have done it, it isn't very hard.
edit... i've spent eerrrrr.... a few minutes looking through my old hotvw's and trends and couldn't find it, sorry.
Shop around. Should get by for 50 - 70 depending on materials and the sime to stitch.

Thanks guys. I was going to get one from John but he hasn't got any lat model ones and as he is closing, I don't think I can get him to do one. I wasn't sure if anyone else does them here other than pearlcraft (they want a small fortune to do one).
I may yet do it myself so the links are helpful.

Once you file and fill the cracks, light sand, undercoat, top coats, clear... you'll be amazed how easy it is to get a great result.
