Well - It will be back in a week or two, back on the road an I pretty excited about the whole thing. It's been off the road for the best part of two or three years. With a new job, new son and a new car taking up all our spare cash we couldn't afford to keep it registered. Well that all bout to change.

The Dog-O-War Sequel will sport a new Sharkskin Grey paint job with stripes yet to be put on. It's currently in the mechanics working it's way up through the blue slip list, Just the horn and seat belts to go and it time for rego.

I tried explaining to someone how excited I felt but didn't really know what words to use. It's sort of like I remembered Christmas to be like when I was a kid. You know, counting down the nights and falling asleep dreaming the good times ahead.

With the new lease of life come a new 70's paint scheme and name. Feel free to make suggestions. Must be unique and must stand out in traffic so I don't get side swiped by a provisional ricer bumping his way to the video shop.



Prior to finished paint and off to the mechanics / exhaust shop.

My other interests are:
Pink Floyd; Geocaching (Google it); Teaching and Bushwalking to name a few. Livery colours will be Blue, Yellow, Green and Orange - These are the Geocaching colours.

i rember the dog-o-war, looking pretty shmick now i reckon, are you going t give us any hints on the stripes yet or are you just open to idea atm, ?

Great to have you back Bronze, even better to see the Dog on the way to glory again. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve in the way of paint jobs. 👍

I have a neighbour that is into airbrushing. It this stage he's not interested as he is very busy but when he does have the time I'd like him to have a go. He is actually very talented but dosen't give himself enough credit. I was going to consider the four colours intertwined up and over the body and along the side. I really don't know at this stage. I'm open to ideas really. Might even have a go myself.

I want to put a couple of number patches on each side and keep the 70's race theme. Was even considering perhaps a variation on the herbie stripes but with four colours. There is also the pink floyd dark side of the moon logo with the white pyramid and the white light split into the colors. Lots of different ideas but at this stage I'm just wishing for rego.

.. like the idea of the pink floyd pyramid, top front of doors, beams faiding down to the rear, gloss black paint.. white stripe on the rims.

hi, i remember the Dog too... would you consider adding one of those coolers on the roof (even just for show) as per the hotwheels baja? if so there's an idea brewing...


edit... please excuse my poor poor photoshop skills... btw the mouth would need to be played with to get it to look right and i think in real life the coolers are bigger.

are those big american cooler scoops legal?

i saw them for sale somewhere......not really needed for a stock engine.

i like your new look though i think i would have painted the wheels a different colour, might change my mind after stripes. gonna get your roof rack powder coated nice and pretty?

hope youre putting the kombi badge back on the front that looked cool.

I haven't gone anywhere - Just been reading mostly.

I have a ducted cooler but it's either that or the roof rack and the roof rack is far more useful. Like what was said the motor is fairly mild so ne extra cooling needed. Nice graphics though. Clever indeed.

The roofrack will recieve a coat of grey too. It's wierd paint. It's rough like sharkskin and has tiny tiny metal flakes that shine in the sun. It looks beaudiful when it's wet. At night it's almost black. It's rally a base coat tht will be cleaned up with the final spray. For not it's just been rolled on with a paint roller. Rough I know but it's a baja - get used to it.

The kombi badge will remain but it wont stay chrome. All the chrome has gone. It will most probably be gloss black I'd say.

The exhaust is sick - has a beautiful note to it now. An it should to - all custom and is now 4 into 2 into 1 with a nice dog barking ou the back. Will be just right for the airjack when I get it continiously bogged.

Anyhow - keep the graphix ideas coming - nothing is too stupid. If you have an idea / ideas post them. I have a cooler and might use it if I one day save enough to wack a turbo onto a more capable mill. Then it will need some cooling and I have a scoop to do it with.
