Is that because you like to replace your tyres every 10000kms? 馃檪

I lowered mine about 2 splines and it's scrubbing from too much toe in..

oval TOFU 路

I might be interested.. unless I get the better equivelants off bugboy later on down the track...

pyr0 路

nah im not scrubbing, im running 165's on the rear and 135's with a 2 inch narrowed on the front, havent scrubbed yet 馃槈 but your right its got some wicked camber :P

Might no be rubbing on anything, but i bet she toes in like a bitch. Better off getting em off Nathan. Keep your money in Australia and support a local.

MikeM 路

Anyone got a link to a thread where Bugboy is selling them? Does anyone know where we can get the Z shaped lowering spring plates to keep you rear suspension travel stock?

ditto!

Hertz 路

there is no thread, just shoot him a u2u.

Hertz 路

those z shaped ones are available from red9design in the us. big big bucks, and when u think about it, its the same as running notched plates with extesions, just stronger i guess. ride will be no different.

http://www.red9design.com/loweredspringplates.htm

Not really the same as notched as they also limit down travel and are stock width for strength.

You are right they wouldn't be cheap to get imported.

Thanks for the lead.

ruckus 路

If BUGBOY can do them for $100 then we'd be all over them. Problem is these are cheap, not everyone can afford to pay to support locals.

Having said that, maybe if we get an idea of how many people are interested BUGBOY could lower the costs.

rupewrecht 路

These are BUGBOYs (cheers for the link tofu)

while giving much easier adjustment (as well as being a complete replacement), theyre also more expensive (naturally).

hmm

VWCOOL 路

If you can't afford to pay, you can't afford to play...

Hertz 路

Those are not springplate extensions, they are adjustable springplates which are stock length. The springplate extensions he did were exactly the same as the ones you spotted on the samba. As i said there is NO thread, just u2u him if you want an idea of cost. Adjustable springplates help you to adjust the ride height, while spring plate extensions help you to adjust rear toe in/out. Springplate extensions wont make your ass low, they will stop it spearing off the road in the pissing rain, once it is lowered.

Hey Nathan, care to chime in with a price for your extensions? I might be interested down the track too....

oval TOFU 路

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he may have extended them in foresight to the toe-in problem.. i'll let you all know when i find out..

Hertz 路

One compliments the other.

That's what i was led to believe as well, hence why i posted them. If not, so be it.
