Shell V Power

I filled up with the new Shell V Power fuel yesterday that has replaced their Optimax.

It is a 98 Octane fuel with various additives (but not ethanol)

The car ran well, but seemed to be immediately running hotter than usual (oil temperature)

Any one else tried it out?

isnt the new vracing power fuel 100octane with 5% ethanol?

My PBB loves V-Power Racing... VW-Power Racing it should be called! 😉

i ran vpower 98 the other day... dont have an oil temp gauge but the performance notably improved compared to regular unleaded... i was impressed.

That's what I run all the time with no problems.

Keep in mind that it's an oxgenated fuel, so depending on your state of tune it could make the motor run a bit lean.
This could account for the extra heat.
