Got a buggy and not sure how high i'm able to mount a remote oil filter above the pump with long hoses???
Problem is i can't use the normal bracket that goes on the exhaust port bolts as i have a custom exhaust that wraps around and around therefore giving no room to mount anything!!! Thinking of mounting it on the 'firewall' of the fibreglass body or somewhere else (with suggestions). But all options appear to be above the heads and want to ensure everything will work perfectly (expensive engine = expensive mistakes!!!! :P ).
Being a buggy it needs to be close in to the engine and not protruding too much!!!
Any suggestions would be great.

Anywhere the filter doesn't get hot...
in front of the engine...? near the gearbox....
is a common spot...
not sure about going higher than the oil pump??
I see many oil filters sitting below the engine....
can't remember seeing any up high...
Best of luck

Good to see your putting it in finally!!
What did you end up doing with the car, Im after a car again if you interested in selling it back!
As for the filter is there any room just to flip it upside down or sideways? Just makes oil changes messier!

Thanks for the suggestions guys will need have look into it further.
Owen, yeah finally getting a wriggle on with this project mate. Had heaps and heaps of work on, then got a bit ill for ages, then a few other non-engine issues, then indycar!!!!!! but on a roll now and shuold have things done in a fortnight with any luck!!! Mate seeing as u built this thing, do u know if the oil pump would cope with the filter being mounted at the height of the dizzy?? And if there are any filters that fit this setup that aren't so loooooong??
As for car, it's sitting around the side of my place minus an engine and a few bits and pieces!!!

have you got an up rated / up graded pump? is it delivering more better oil flow? if so you can place it higher, if its a standard pump, fed from oil cooler in the dog house, then behind the dog house above the gearbox, is a good place, if its a pump fed filter then youwill have to mount it near the pump at the front of the motor!
hope that helps!
