yes it was made in Clayton Victoria by Volkswagen Australasia...
chassis number 116,000,001 to 116,1021,300
19 means it was made in Australia...
made from 1st Aug 1965- 31st july 1966 means 1966 year model...

I have my rego papers here on my office desk. My Beetle has a Chassis number 196871165. Is it a 66 as I thought it was, or is it a 67?
