reub-revhead question for you on your pedals ( or anybody else)

hello there i am very keen on any info on a differant pedal assembly such as in reub-revhead purple dub??? where the pedals hang under the assembly instead of above like a standard vw

Just as some starter thoughts (others will no doubt have more actual reelvant experience on doing this), the main problems that I can see you're likely to have are:

1) Where to mount them - firewall or create some form of bracketing/pedal box to hold them
2) Whether you can modify the cables/hydraulics to suit installation in your VW - which is no doubt possible, but may depend on the pedal cluster you use
3) How much you want to pay - I suppose theoretically you can go to a breakers yard and get them out of any old manual sedan they have floating around, or use "custom" or "race" pedal clusters, of which there are as many choices as there are prices.

As I said others here will have much better ideas than those, but that's what I'd think about to start with.

Mate, lot of work to do what is in my car.

It's a pedal box out of a hyundai excel I understand that has been installed. The sheet metal has been cut out and then plated for mounting. Easier in a car like mine as I dont have the std fuel tank etc etc in mine. It also has the hydraulic clutch setup.

Have you a specific need to change from the std setup?

oh ok so an excel setup hmm interesting 🙂 i have been starting to look into this cos i really dont like the postion of the accelorator pedal i sits to far back and is to crampy for my liking . i am looking at goin hydro on the clutch anyways and i think a differant pedal assembly sounds like a great mod 🙂 work wise i dont think it will be to much of a problem🙂

thnaks for the info fella's keep it coming as well as any idea would be great
