Hi Dubstaz,

Does anyone here know much about vintage Ferris radios? I've got a few I've collected and am missing a cradle for one and hoping maybe someone has a spare.

I just love the look of them!

I have an old Ferris radio from the 1940's (Model 74). It used to be my grandfathers which he brought new with his Rover.

Does it look anything like this one? I don't have any spares unfortunately.
I love the old school look of them. Not as portable as an ipod though. Too bloody heavy!

This is yours!: Australias First Portable Car Radio

The only car radio in Australia that runs on 6,12 and 240 Volts.Ideal for truck or car, on the mantelpiece, in boats or caravans.Especially useful for the family man, country people and commercial travellers. No dry batteries are required and the set has 6 std. indirectly heated valves.

That is sweet and sentimental.

I think we're all just one step away from collecting milk cartons and newspapers and muttering to ourselves while pushing our shopping trolley home.
