See "cars that raced in the original Tasman Series - Brabham, BRM, Cooper, Ferrari, Lotus and McLaren... in action.." "Period advertising signs, fuel tankers, tow trucks, cars [this could include VWs], motorcycles... even period garlands and sashes for the winners"

Eastern Creek International Raceway, December 1-3.

[btw. i'm in no way affiliated with the organisers of this event, just think it's heaps cool]

Through my other club (sidescreen Triumph TR's) I'll be helping out on the regalia stand over the weekend.
The event should be a hoot, the HSRCA have spent a LOT of time and money to make this a great event. If successful it will be run every second year. There are huge costs involved in bringing many old Tasman Series race cars from around the world.

The 1960s were swinging in more ways than one, for a uniquely Australian and New Zealand motor racing series, the Tasman Cup, was attracting most Formula 1 drivers and teams from Europe. It was truly the `swinging sixties!`

Those BRM, Cooper, Lotus, Ferrari and Brabham Tasman series cars that competed in the 1961-1969 period have been traced to many parts of the world. Some 20 cars will be shipped from the UK, USA and NZ for this historic event. They will be augmented by approximately 30 similar Australian owned Tasman series cars.
...and there appears to be some Formula Vee racing scheduled on the last day.:thumb:thumb
