This question has probably been put up before. I have a set of bathurst globes I want to put on my daughters 72 superbug and I want to know the maximum width tyres that will fit under standard guards. Also should I have all 4 the same or have the 2 front slightly smaller.
Thanks Al

i think you will have to go narrower on the fronts. as i think 195/65s only just fit but not 100% on this. i know 215s will fit on the back thought of most bug but it depends on the offset. ive got 205/65 on chaos all round but thats with empi 8s

i used to have hotwires with 185/70 tyres all around which are fine on a 71-73 super if ur ride height is standard or lowered slightly
now my car is down 4 1/2" i have no chance of fitting them even with 3* neg camber
but on a stockish 72 like urs sould be fine
a freind even has 215/70s on his and they only just stick out about 1/2"

Hey Al
Had the same model as yours with the same mags on it.
Had 195/70 on the front to start with, but they stuck out just enough to hit the lip of the guard on a heavy bump. they also rubbed on the kick panel wall under the front guards.
I then went to 185/60's and they worked a treat.
The rears. i would say go with the 205/70's
