conversation went something like this...
Stranger: "hi, is the buggy still for sale?"
Pete: "yep"
Stranger: "well no wonder with that price, you idiot!" [hangs up]
He'd forgotten that mobiles list the number when you call them, so he was kind of surprised when I called him back a minute later to speak to him about the car seriously. As it turned out, he had no idea of the car's specs of anything else much about it. He'd just looked at the price and rang me to abuse me. So I understand why that ebay seller reacted like he did.

not that I care too much (at all) but does he want to sell the turbo? The guy asking the question probably just went to find out some details. At very least you might want to know some dimensions to see if it would fit in the available space or what kind of oil fittings/threads it has. Seems like a reasonable ask to me.

A: nah mate i just knocked it up in the back shed. Thought i might be able to sell it to some dumbass with no idea. Funny it didnt come up on their site cause i told the friendly people from garrett that i was planning to sell a fake under the number gt17, but you know how it is, fuckwits these days have no bloody clue what day it is, let alone which way their arse points. Guess there's no flys on you though, you figured it out real quick.hip hip hooray.
