Having kids makes christmas awesome but kinda brings new years down. I'll be doing something pretty sedate to be decided on sometime late on sunday afternoon no doubt. I wont be drinking too much as new years day I have a 6 mile (running) race around Mt Kembla assuming its not 46 degrees again like last year. Its a handicap race so I actually have a pretty good chance of winning it as I am an annoyingly consistant runner with 4 races within 3 seconds this year. Besides I had my 14 hour all night drinking session with introduction to yager bombs on boxing day and being a reasonably old fart you shouldnt do that too often.

Good luck to everyone else who will be partying hard though :beer and lots of new year tic tacs and cyber kisses to all the ladeeez :kiss.... esp you thor ya dirty forum lurker

Montreal.... circus show and a party in an 1820's theatre. It will be a heaps of fun, though all going to plan, I most likely will not remember it....

I started 4th, 3min 16secs behind the first runner. Must have went out too fast because I caught 2 people well before halfway mark, didnt catch the other one until 1km from finish, and then I got swamped by heaps of people on the last hill. Ended up finishing (unofficially) 17th on handicap 1min 6 secs behind with net time of around 39 minutes. Not too bad for a fatarse who hasnt ran there before but still dissappointed. On the bright side... now I can have my New Years celebration
