Topic reply email notifications ???

Not trying to be a pita but are we any closer to the topic reply email notifications thingos being fixed up ?

ohhhh!!! i didnt even realise this site had that. i often wondered cos i would ask a seller something and within a half hour the person had been on and offline replying to it, i thought they just had too much spare time like some of us, haha. silly me. awesome feature! especially if you have a sound or pop up alert that notifies you of a recently received email!

The "U2U received" is easy to see....
just remember to look at the top RH Side...

and Al, You don't have an email facility on Your Post....

You didn't enter Your email address when You signed up..

Nick and I both have an email button to click on....

You don't have this button...

You need to go to UserCP and put Your email address in..

Works OK for me...I just subscribed to this thread and when Lee added to the thread I recieved an email notification that someone had replied to it..............

im not gettin them any more either

thats strange, I started getting them again 2 or 3 days ago.

all these notifications are driving me up the wall...I'm unsubscribing from this thread......

I've checked your user admin options and there is nothing out of the ordinary there. Are you sure your email account is not blocking them as spam? Please don't get mad - just askin'

There was nothing wrong with my settings when I wasnt getting them either, and they werent getting blocked. It all started (for me) on the day the forum migrated. It seems to have came good for me when I swapped computers here at work. How that could be possible I dont know. Try logging out, deleting all your cookies (or just the avd ones) then logging back in. From a technical view that sounds a little odd because it fixed my emails from home as well but.... got nothing to lose.

No, em account is good I'm getting them from all the other forums I subscribe to no problems -have tried the cookie delete route and that hasn't fixed it iether praps re-registering , can I (or you) totaly delete my account details and then I can re up useing the same em address ?
Wadya rekon ? It worked fine until the great crash of 06 came back for a couple of days when the site got back up then stopped and nothing since,

Well I just got an email after amaazer replied so it appears that it mustn't be a forum-wide problem. Unfortunately I don't have the technical knowlege to fix it but you could try contacting vanderaj as he is the guru for this sort of thing.

He is not on all that often since he lives in the US but hopefully he may be able to help if you have no luck.

wake andrew up, he is on good money (admittedly not from the forum but...), he should be on call 😉

and ask him to fix my pictures issue and also ask why in the circuit racing forum bulletin board code doesnt appear to work at all.
