the weekend went well, with only a few minor dramas,
for you people out there who are not from W.A and may not know what motorvation is, it is the ORIGINAL summernats car festival for the west, a horse power show really !!!:P
a few of my mates cars got accepted too this year so we had
a few in there, thats all the non VW cars in the photos haha,
PLUS...... i made VW history for being the very first KOMBI to be entered into the show!!!
i ran a 13.83 and 13.20 in slalom too ( evo's n WRX's were running 11's so i was stoked!)
My stock gearbox held up perfect the whole time!! The only damage being an shattered dizzy cap due to the rotor button letting go while doing a burnout at the start line haha

yer pete wood, i have some plans for the V8 kombi but for now i want start building my V8 turbo ute.
At least a ute will be partly designed for speed and performance. Im barely winning the struggle making a performance 30 year old kombi ! Plus you have to draw the line somewhere or you can spend $40K on a car that still needs a lot of work ya get me...

Oh my god, if i have to watch Gary Myers do one more burn out, i'm gunna :puke Give me the every day average Joe, burning his hard earned money away with a spectacular smoke display. Although i do love watching the Kwinana Performance Panel Van strut its stuff!
Good on ya Kevo for entering... hopefully you will start a trend. The reason i didnt go this year was because i got sick of seeing the same cars there every year. Hopefully you will inspire others to enter their cars, and add a bit more variety... and hopefully some more Vdubs!!!

yeah kevo that is interesting about the 2L.
the car my mates dad has (his personal car) is an NA 2litre mk 1 which cuts 13.8's. but its being rebuilt now.
their car club is across the road. ford rallye sport club.

oh and i think that guy in the porsche you were up against (could be wrong) is head of the perth wrx club..its a NICE little porka isnt it. haha
