What profile on the 165s? I don't mean to be a smartarse but my 165x45s would go much lower than the standard 80 profile.

Not very low. Go to some 145/65 15s, then you can almost lay pan before you scrub on anything.

Except you have a 3.5 inch beam. With a standard width beam you will tear your gaurds off if you try to go that low on 165s.

i have droped the front down 1 inch over the wheel, drives ok just a slight rub on full lock .might try some early T3 wheels different offset.

my '54 oval runs firestone 125x70 15's on the front on stock rims ,slight narrowed beam, can take it virtually to the deck.... no messin'..:thumb
