hey people
just having a winge here but i think its about bloody time we have a national roads/transport authority!!!
in my case i have a 74 dual cab with a EJ22 in it and prelude front seats both of which have been engineered in queensland but coming to NSW i have to know spend another $250 odd dollars on RE-ENGINEERING both mods now come on i rang the RTA and he said that the states have different Standards to meet i mean the engineers probably got there degrees at the same bloody UNI for christs sake!!
anyway i just think its about time something is done i have heard its in the pipeline!!
atleast they have come to sense's with OHS "bluecards" and NSW ones are valid in QLD and VIC and vica versa!!
anyway whats your thoughts
cheers

it shouldn't be too long before all the states agree to the new National rules that has been in the works for some time.

Thats the problem some time, becomes a long time. they always seem to talk about it but nothing happens. I can't understand whats taking them so long, the fed govenment would be a big winner, I spose thats why the states are dragging the chain!

Why don't they get rid of state parliament alltogether.

And on another thing, why dont you pay vehicle rego on your license and not on each vehicle.

I don't care how tricky you are you can only drive one car at a time.

Cheers,

Now back to sanity and less talkback radio.

Yes, I agree with One registration per person, and You can drive any of your cars... one at a time...
the 3rd party insurance would be hard to figure out..??

but what happens in the USA??
As far as i know, all US States have different rules too...

but how come so many people in the USA own 3+ cars
???? is registration cheaper over there??
only one green slip?? for all cars you own????

went and got it redone at a cost of $180 (including weighbridge ticket) which is abit of a relief but still $180 i could of been better off!!! there where no problems in the engineering department and the engineer even stated that they all follow the same standards so whats going on??

as stated above.... ^^^^
most likely it is beaurecratic bull so that each state gets their little slice of pie....
