i had a similar problem with my bus after fitting new brake bulbs, ending up being a weak earth, wiggled the bulbs around a bit and its been fine since.... might be worth checking the contacts/earthing part of the wiring.

yer bulbs in right way have tried to wiring around the other way thinkin it might be the brake lite up all the time but its not that its not an earth back there cause reverse light's and indicators work properly??

we get a lot of dust on our roads up here and it makes the vehicles tail lights play up ,if you take out the globes give the hole a clean, that works for me

Check the earths in all of the rear lights and after cleaning them daub some Vaseline on them before tightening them. It will prevent a repeat of the problem.
