This is a shot of my magnet gearbox sump plug after i had done around 5000km's on the new engine, it made me laugh when i saw it!!
it still works great tho, is starting to whine a little more at 110 than it did with the old slow 1800 tho
i'd hate to be my gearbox, or any vw gearbox attatched to ant v8 or EJ turbo for that matter hahaha

I hope you changed that oil and put in lots of Nulon gearbox treatment. It's gonna need everything it can to survive. :o

It aint broken till it no longer provides drive to the wheels...... in any gear 🙂
Just keep the oil up to it, if the whine gets too loud, put some heavier oil in.....
But seriously, thats nasty.

haha i didnt put all that work into building my car to drive slowly!
i could have done that before, so i gota make the most of the 8 in the back!
na the gearbox loves it. if it blows up ill just bolt a new strong one in.

Na im not using another stocko, that would be a wast of time bolting to my engine.
ill just drop mine off to vw shop n get em to build a strong one
easy as pie!
i still think i have over a year left in the old girl tho
