Hahaha... he was missed.. I must admit the swaps stuff seems to get smaller and less interesting.. I wonder if an event where (say two beetles or type 2's) were stripped "on-site" during the course of the Sunday.. People could order a part and then come back to collect.. Be an interesting spectacle for some DIY beginners as well..

I think the swaps are shrinking because of Ebay etc plus there are fewer cars around to part out.

Gold plated spoked rims on a splitty. The Sydney crowd would have gone apeshit for that one. Trophy winner for sure!

Just for us "poor cousins", a couple of pics of Type 3 and 4 cars this year.
To many of us "fringe dwellers", the show seems to be heading for more later water cooled cars. Looked a bit like Parramatta Road used car lots!
A few quite nice Type 3 vehicles of various models both inside and in the general car park. Also, two nice Type 4 Squarebacks.

that orange bug is often parked outside a shop on Station Rd in seven hills. The business there does minitrucks as well. wicked little ride. 😏

adge's bagged bug is pretty cool , had it in the workshop just before the nats for some misc stuff and a good look over ( they had been driving around including to canberra and back on lose rear axle nuts .... god knows how the split pins held up )

I'm pretty sure I saw that 56 rat in Orange on the way up to the Nats and again on it's way home today.
Nice looking ride, a more mature gentleman piloting it.
